The second irreducible minimum of an evangelistic Sunday School is Proactive Church Members. What kind of members are needed?
Praying members. In most Sunday School classes, the normal prayer request involves praying for the sick. The Bible clearly tells us to pray for one another and to bear one another burdens, but one of the first steps to helping a class become outward and not inward is praying evangelistic. However, evangelistic prayer is often a missing ingredient in many of our classes.
Investing to Invite members. These types of members are building relationships with their lost friends, family, neighbors, and associates and invite them to join them in Bible Study. Many of these will accept Christ as their savior.
Accepting New Folks members. Sunday School is a great opportunity for a group of people to create an atmosphere for “relationship evangelism.”
Sharing their stories members. Lost and unchurched people need to hear the stories and testimonies of the Christians in the class. As they hear these stories, many will recognize that Jesus is real and the Bible has the answers.
